The Boo Project

Have you been booed before? If not, let The Boo Project show you how small acts of kindness, based on the book Booing A Halloween Tradition, can build up and serve
our community.

What is Traditional Booing?

Step 1 - Prepare bags of treats including Halloween goodies, games, and toys.
Step 2 - Place boo bags on others’ porches. Ring the doorbell, RUN, and HIDE!
Step 3 - Watch and listen to the joy you bring others as they find treats on their porch. It’s a “Pay It Forward” sort of thing.

What is the Boo Project?

The Boo Project is a 501c3 charitable organization where volunteers from across Metro Detroit donate, decorate, and pack bags for children in the hospital. Unfortunately, thousands of children are stuck in the hospital on Halloween and cannot go booing or trick or treating. The Boo Project brings Halloween to them. The Boo Project first surprised children at Corewell Hospital in Royal Oak and Children’s Hospital of Detroit in 2018, expanding to CS Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor in 2022.

Why Sponsor?

We are looking for organizations, community groups, and companies to bring this gift to each of these hospitals. The goal is to boo as many children in the hospital as possible. Help us bring Halloween to those who aren’t able to go booing, trick or treating, or even get dressed up for Halloween. Each child receives Booing A Halloween Tradition, its companion Booing Activity Book, and a boo bag full of goodies.
